The Zone 2 output appears to be standard, line-level via RCA female connectors. Music and news for the whole house! I checked the manual for any reference regarding outside environment conditions. However I know that weather conditions with high humidity will have a negative effect on electronic connectors, and components I would personally recommend not using this electronic device outside.

Note a Marine radio is for outside use and is especially designed and manufactured for that environment. This unit is not designed for either damp conditions or extreme temperatures hot or cold.

So it is not really suited to recurring use outside, even on a covered patio. Maybe once, on a pleasant day, for a special occasion -- but not routinely.

The Onkyo gives u the flexibility to listen to direct ON mode, which bypasses the post processing of audio Bass and Treble and even that also is very nice.
