Is it safe to delete items from ps4 downloads

I saw a "Delete" command, and instead of backing out, I mistakenly confirmed the delete, and apparently no longer have the update. Now, I can't seem to find the update anywhere and the PS4 hasn't notified me it's re-downloaded or re-installed the update at all, and going to the Store did nothing.

Any suggestions? From here you can manually install an update if for some reason the PS4 did not automatically do it and pause or cancel downloads. Was this article helpful? What went wrong? I found the article confusing. The article is out of date. Thank you! Need help? Answer 1 of 4 : Yes, you can. In fact, if you can even delete the game without deleting the save data, if you want to make room without losing your progress. Just go into settings. Regardless of which way you do it, you'll then be presented with a list of all the save files currently saved on your PS4.

Step 5: Scroll down until you find the game whose data you want to delete, select it and then find the appropriate file. Most games only have one save file attached to them, but some games, such as Hitman, allow you to have multiple save files, so you might need to repeat this step a few times before they're all gone.

For each file you want to delete, simply press the Options button on your controller and hit Delete. From here you can manually install an update if for some reason the PS4 did not automatically do it and pause or cancel downloads. You must be logged in to post a comment. None of which show up under library BTW.

Thanks for the info on where to find out what the ps4 is doing.
